The procedure is gentle, non-invasive, and safe. While everyone’s tolerance is different, there is usually no need for a topical anesthetic.

Generally speaking IPL procedure is smooth and effective treatment. While you may feel a slight tingling or pinch (similar to the snap of a rubber hand) from the IPL handpiece, most people tolerate the procedure very well. Some areas of the body are more sensitive than others, you may choose to have a topical anaesthetic applied to increase comfort during the procedure.
