How does IPL machine works for pigmentation removal?
IPL machine adopts high energy light pulses to penetrate upper levels of the skin and stimulate collagen production in lower levels of skin. The important point is to reach the lower levels of skin, since darker spots or brown spots result from your skin’s natural production of brown pigment, or melanin, in these lower levels of skin. Intense Pulsed Light targets the melanin, breaking up bonds between the cells to lighten the patches and disperse the clusters over time.
IPL machines are especially effective for those pigmentations in the epidermis, such as age spots, freckles, and sunspots.
